That Good Part

Our God is such a BIG God! He breathed life into human kind! Even when mankind fell in sin, He had a plan to redeem us! What an amazing God we serve! A wonderful Father! And yet there are times when we take our eyes off of our Father and His greatness.

Luke 10:41 NKJV, “And Jesus answered and said to her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things, But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.’”

In this passage of scripture, Martha was distracted. How many of us can relate to this? We get distracted by many things: broken relationships, heavy workloads at work and or at home, financial circumstances, or whatever it takes to fill the God sized hole in our hearts. What we fail to recognize in that moment is the one thing we need. Mary chose the one thing that is needed…Jesus.

When we take our eyes off of our problems and fix them on God our Father, on Jesus Christ our King and Savior, treat things begin to happen. When we begin to trust in Him instead of depending on our own understanding and strength, great things begin to happen. When we turn to Him, truth is revealed to us.

John 8:31-32 NKJV says, “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed in Him, ‘If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.’”

What is the truth? Let me share this with us…in Jesus Christ there is no fear, anxiety, or depression…there is no condemnation. So let’s break this lie right here and right now in Jesus name! 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.” “POWER, LOVE, AND A SOUND MIND.” Romans 8:1 NKJV says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” Don’t just stop here in truth! We all have different circumstances we are facing. Jesus has the answer…the solution to what we are facing right now in this moment of time and for all time. Seek Him and don’t stop seeking! Matthew 7:7 NKJV says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

My advice to you, don’t stop seeking! Slow down and reflect, anchor yourself in the love of Christ and receive the greatness of God moving in your life. Expect! Anticipate God moving! Remember, storms will come. Trials and tribulations will come. Do not be afraid and do not give up. Jesus promises to be with us to the very end of the age!
